Get ready to travel to the other side of the Atlantic Ocean for an unforgettable experience! NASA Space Camp® is a true educational experience that will make you realize the importance of some disciplines such as mathematics, engineering, science and technology applied in the real world.

The activities will vary according to your age. However, all the activities have something in common – they will be enriching challenges that you will have to overcome with your new friends and other participants that will make you feel proud of your achievements! Of course, there is always a lot of fun in the mix, because we also learn by playing.

Between August 24th and 29th, you’ll be taking part in Space Camp®, so get ready for a mission to the International Space Station or a moon landing. And after this space experience, get ready for a few days of adventure of activities in the city that never sleeps, New York!

You will stay a week at NASA’s space center in Alabama, the program is divided into 6 days (from the 24th to the 29th of August). Each day will have different activities and experiences adapted to the proposed Mission. Get to know some of the activities of the Space Academy®.

Space Camp® in Huntsville, Alabama is where the space adventure begins in earnest for young people who dream of being an astronaut or are fascinated by space! This summer camp is not just another one: it is an educational experience, combining real learning with otherworldly fun, all in the largest space exploration museum in the United States. Here, participants go on a journey of discovery, with astronaut training, simulations of space missions and much more. It’s all designed to inspire the next generation of cosmos explorers, blending education and fun.

At Space Camp®, every day is a different adventure. Participants have the opportunity to build and launch rockets, feel zero gravity, and even do spacewalk simulations. What’s more, the Camp also has the presence of experts from NASA and the aerospace world, who share valuable tips on space careers and the science of missions. With programs for various ages and interests, Space Camp is the ideal place for those who look up at the stars and see a universe of opportunities. There are 2 programs available! The Space Academy (12 to 14 years old) and the Advance Space Academy (15 to 18 years old). In each program there are specific and incredible activities!

New York

New York awaits you – an epic dive into the city that never sleeps!

If you’re looking for a cultural and vibrant adventure, this program is your gateway to experiencing the best of New York. From Central Park to the art- and history-filled halls of the most iconic museums, you’ll discover a city where the energy never ends and every corner has something surprising waiting for you.

When you arrive, the city will welcome you with a stroll through Central Park and breathtaking views at the Top of the Rock, so you can start feeling the grandeur of the Big Apple. The program delves deep into New York’s culture and diversity, with visits to spaces such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art (MET), MoMA and the American Museum of Natural History. In addition, we have prepared an unforgettable experience with a Broadway show to experience the magic of American theater!

Your home in New York will be the International Student Center, an inclusive and multicultural hostel where young people from all over the world meet and share experiences. And, of course, you will have the dedicated monitoring of YMCA professionals, who will be with you to ensure safety and support at all times.

The U.S. Space & Rocket Center is located in one of the 50 states of the United States, the state of Alabama.

Accommodation for participants varies throughout the program.

In New York, participants are accommodated at the International Student Center, an inclusive and multicultural hostel where young people from various parts of the world meet and share experiences.

At all times, participants are divided by age and gender and are supervised by monitors.

The NASA Space Camp Program is on a full-board basis. Meals during the stay in New York are not included in the package. However, we have carefully chosen the locations so that everyone can enjoy delicious dishes at affordable prices. With New York’s enormous gastronomic diversity, we guarantee a rich and varied culinary experience, without compromising on budget.

Supervision

There is supervision by professionals with experience in coordinating youth groups. The group will be accompanied by a Senior Professional, ensuring a safe and enriching experience throughout the trip. This professional has extensive experience in guiding groups of young people and deep knowledge of their dynamics. The accompaniment will be complemented by the support of a Junior Professional, providing extra supervision and ensuring that each young person receives the attention and support needed to make this trip truly memorable

Each group of participants is monitored 24 hours a day by qualified monitors who are subject to internal training. Space Camp® activities have a professional, dynamic, dedicated team that ensures all processes in a responsible and safe way.

You must arrive autonomously at the holiday camp facilities in Portugal the day before departure, your parents must take you and pick you up from the holiday camp, at the times foreseen in the program and to be announced closer to the date.

Transportation to the airport is included from the holiday camp facilities in Portugal, and it is important that the group travels all together to avoid delays.

Flights and transfers during the U.S. program are also included.
